Memorandum of Understanding: National Military Hospital, Afghanistan
IGOT in collaboration with Dr. Robert Detch, an alumnus of the UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery residency program, has initiated a Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and the National Military Hospital, the largest hospital in Afghanistan as of 2009. The National Military Hospital in Afghanistan is burdened with orthopaedic trauma. This relationship will help facilitate the building of an orthopaedic curriculum, led by Dr. Robert Detch in collaboration with IGOT faculty as well as provide the basis for potential research initiatives in Afghanistan.
